Before Henry Ford founded the Ford Motor Company in 1903, he was involved in the creation of the Cadillac, which was built in 1902 from his former Henry Ford Company. 

A dispute arose between Ford and other investors, which resulted in Ford leaving and founding the Ford Motor Company. In this way, Henry Ford contributed to the creation of the most luxurious brand of his biggest competitor, General Motors.

The new Ford company was created thanks to the investments of twelve businessmen, including the Dodge brothers, who founded their own brand in 1914. Henry Ford at first produced cars in small numbers - until the debut of the Ford T, the success of which contributed to the tremendous development of the company, which led not only to the strengthening of the American market, but also to the issuance of foreign licenses and the construction of factories in the UK and the USSR. As early as 1922, Ford purchased the Lincoln luxury brand to compete with Cadillac.
