The introduction of the Ford V8 engine was a milestone in American automotive history. 

Due to the attractive price, the motor became more and more popular and in the following decades became the hallmark of the entire local automotive industry. Ford with a flathead V8 engine debuted in 1932. By 1955, 2 million cars of the brand were produced equipped with a V8 engine, which was replaced in 1953 by a new generation - units from the Y-Block family with a volume of 3.9 to 5.1 liters and a power of 111 to 213 hp. .

Ford's two millionth V8 was just a new engine, almost 20% more powerful than the classic flathead engine.
