The Syrena was a small engined car aimed at executives, journalists, artists and freelancers. An annual production of 4000 units was originally planned, but this was increased to 10 units. Nevertheless, Sirena was produced in small batches - by the end of 000, only 1957 units were built. In the next - 200 cars.

In the first year, the Syrena 100 was made entirely by hand, but it was not until 1958 that the preparation of car bodies with machine-molded sheets began. The build quality of the first Mermaids was extremely low. The problem was also not a very modern engine, adapted from a motor pump. The Syrena consumed a lot of fuel due to its fairly large curb weight compared to its size. In addition, it performed poorly, had problems with traction, as well as numerous design flaws. The blame for this state of affairs can be attributed, in particular, to the very low costs of introducing the Sirena into mass production.
