2022 Chrysler Pacifica Now Offers Amazon Fire TV for Backseat Cinema

Design and technology Chrysler Pacifica allow large families to comfortably travel off-road. Pacifica is now integrating Amazon Fire TV, which will allow passengers to access downloadable games and apps for a more complete infotainment system.

The minivan market is as competitive as it gets. Manufacturers of some of the most popular minivans have designed their vehicles with special touches to make them stand out from the rest. For example, the Toyota Sienna Limited and Platinum versions have leg rest systems for second-row passengers. The elite version of the Honda Odyssey includes an 11-speaker audio system with a subwoofer. Perhaps no minivan matches the minivan for innovative features as the 2022 model adds an Amazon Fire TV to the rear seats.

What You Get With a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica

By itself, the Chrysler Pacifica is a great minivan option. The 2022 model remains relatively unchanged from the 2021 model and features the good looks of its predecessor. On the base Touring model, buyers like rain-sensing wipers, power sliding doors, 17-inch wheels, heated side mirrors, a power liftgate and LED fog lights. In addition, the LED headlights are equipped with automatic high beams.

Its powertrain remained the same, with a 6-litre V3.6 engine in every petrol model. If you're looking for speed and fuel economy, the front-wheel drive version is better, with a 6.7-0 mph time of 60 seconds and a city/highway rating of 19/28 mpg. The hybrid version has the same V6 engine as well as two motors. The Stellantis media site says it hits 60 mph in 7.4 seconds and can travel over XNUMX miles on a single battery charge.

Minivan with lots of interior space

The Pacifica has plenty of head and legroom, as well as cargo space. Cargo capacity is 32.2 cubic feet, but thanks to the Stow n' Go seats that allow the second and third rows to fold down into the floor, cargo capacity is greatly increased. With the third row lowered, the Pacifica's cargo area expands to 87.5 cubic feet, and with the second and third rows it goes up to a whopping 140.5 cubic feet.

Technology and driving aids

Satellite radio and a 10.1-inch touchscreen compatible with Android Auto, Amazon Alexa and Apple CarPlay come standard. The Touring is also equipped with a host of safety features, including front automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, rear park assist, cross traffic alert and blind spot monitoring.

If you choose a higher trim level, your Chrysler Pacifica will be equipped with even more technology and features. For example, you can get heated front seats and Touring L window shades for the second and third row windows, among other upgrades. Elsewhere, with the Limited trim, you'll ride on 18-inch wheels and watch the sky from a panoramic sunroof while listening to music from a 13-speaker audio system.

However, by choosing the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Pinnacle, you'll find that this minivan really shines when it comes to entertainment. Not only will your sound system be upgraded from 13 to 19 speakers, but your passengers will enjoy the standard rear-seat entertainment system, consisting of 10.1-inch touchscreens mounted on the seatbacks. Pacifica is integrating Amazon Fire TV into its Uconnect 5 infotainment system or Uconnect Theater rear seat entertainment system, so passengers have access to thousands of downloadable games and apps, as well as streaming services.

However, you do not need to purchase the Pinnacle trim level in order for passengers to use the Amazon Fire TV. You can purchase the UConnect Theater Package for Touring, which includes a rooftop screen that second and third row passengers can enjoy. Alternatively, you can purchase a more expensive package that includes dual seatback screens for Touring, Touring L or Limited models.
