3 cases when you can still cross a solid line

Despite the fact that traffic rules are spelled out very clearly, and all drivers should know them perfectly, controversial situations often arise on the roads. This is especially true for the intersection of a solid line. Drivers often lack patience, which leads to overtaking or a U-turn through a continuous lane. Such maneuvers are prohibited and entail a fine or even deprivation of rights.

If there is a registrar, there will be no doubts, but if there are no facts, then you will have to defend your case.

Difficult cases with invisible line

Sometimes you may encounter the fact that a solid dividing strip is simply not visible and will be crossed by accident. Such moments occur during snowfalls or heavy pollution of the roadway. In this case, you will need to prove your case if the traffic police have questions.

Another option for an unconscious violation of traffic rules can be an erased dividing line. This situation should also be resolved in favor of the driver, because if the marking itself is not clearly drawn, and there are no corresponding signs, then the driver simply did not know that he was making a dangerous maneuver and disregarding the rules.

Departure into the oncoming lane through a solid one entails a fine of 5000 rubles, and can also be punished by deprivation of rights for up to 6 months. But a U-turn through such markings will be dangerous for drivers only with a fine of 1500 rubles.

In order not to lose your driver's license for half a year, you need to be patient and very attentive while driving.
