In the technical documentation of modern cars, manufacturers always indicate the service life of the spark plugs, after which they must be replaced with new ones. Usually it is 60 thousand kilometers. It should be noted that this value is calculated for quality fuel; otherwise, the mileage is halved.

The most common mistake is installing spark plugs in a dirty place. Dirt and dust accumulate in the engine during vehicle operation. They can get into it and cause damage. Before installing spark plugs, it is recommended to clean their holes.
Experts also note a common situation when drivers change spark plugs before the engine cools down and gets burned. The third mistake is haste, which can break the ceramic parts of the spark plugs. In such a situation, it is recommended to thoroughly clean all particles.
When replacing, new spark plugs are tightened with too much force, as not everyone has a torque wrench. Experienced motorists recommend a low tension at first, and then tighten a third of a turn of the key.
