Seasonal lubrication is an item that many drivers for some reason ignore when preparing their car for the change of season. For example, before winter, all car owners pay a lot of attention to tires, battery condition, windshield wipers, pipes and a generator, which is certainly correct. However, they completely forget that the machine as a whole is a rather capricious “organism”, which quickly becomes unusable without proper care. Especially without lubrication. And now we are not talking about an engine with a gearbox, but about a whole list of places in the car that must be treated with lubricants, especially before winter. Otherwise, trips to the service will simply become more frequent.
The side windows of the car - it would seem that, in addition to a weighty cobblestone, they can threaten them. However, no one takes into account the slush that collects at the base of the opening, and with the intensification of frost, it turns into frost, which prevents the glass from moving freely, or even completely blocks it. As a result, the load on the window regulator motor increases, which significantly reduces its resource, and when lowered, a heartbreaking rattle is often heard.

Therefore, they should be protected by applying a layer of silicone grease. This will prevent the formation of frost, and protect them from all-penetrating reagents. In addition, in cold weather, the seals will retain their elasticity.
Of course, door locks are also targeted by reagents and excess moisture. If your car is not equipped with such, then you can skip this step. However, for those drivers whose car doors have lock larvae on them, it is better to pour Teflon, WD-40 or any other lubricant designed for this into the well. It will protect them from the abundance of moisture and dirt. Moreover, this must be done regardless of whether you use the key or open the car from the key fob. The thing is that if one day the remote control of the lock does not work, you will have to use the key, which will be very problematic to turn in the soured lock.
You can make fun of those whose cars are unlocked with a key for a long time. However, do not forget that absolutely all cars have a hood lock. He is most vulnerable to reagents, because he is on the "front line", where he receives a fair dose of reagents and dirt. And if you don’t follow it properly, at one point it simply won’t open or it will open at the most inopportune moment - at speed in a turn. So that the hood lock does not lose its functionality and unlocks the first time, it must be liberally lubricated with lithium grease.
The hinges of the doors and the gas tank hatch are also under the gun of an aggressive environment, which causes them to skip and rattle. For door hinges, it is necessary to select a lubricant with anti-corrosion properties. And the hinge of the gas tank hatch, which is especially sensitive to salts and reagents, must be constantly fed with lubricant, for example, the all-pervading “Vedashka”.
