Top 5 Sports Super Sedans - Auto Sportive

There are several categories of sports cars. There are light spiders, 4x4 turbines, hypercars, hot hatchbacks, or American muscle cars. However, there is one kind of car that is more than just a sports car: the super sedan.

Fast sedans not only offer supercar and a ton of fun, but they can get groceries and kids to school faster and more fun than any other family member, take a track day in peace, and pay a lot of cars. But above all, they can safely and carefree embark on a long journey, taking you fresh and relaxed to your destination.

I know you think that SUV have (roughly) the same characteristics as sports sedans; but with such a high center of gravity and all-wheel drive, the difference is big.

Let's see together which steroid sedans are the best at the moment.

BMW M5

She is the queen of sports sedans BMW M5... For around € 110.000 you can take home a 560 hp beast that can accelerate to 0 km / h in 100 seconds. This generation ditched two cylinders (the old had a 4,3-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine) in favor of a much more twin-turbo and twin-turbo V5.0 8. There's no better way to scare your friends with a full throttle ride in al'Ring. The M4.4 has always been the coolest of the powerful sedans: more energetic than the Mercedes AMG and much faster than the peaceful Jaguar. But everything changes ...

Maserati Ghibli

Maserati has always made fantastic sedans. Thinking about the old Ghibli, Biturbo and the first Quattroporte, I can't help but feel sad. They were fast and wild cars, but terrible in terms of reliability. In recent decades, the House of the Trident has been taken under the wing of Ferrari and revived in all its glory. The new Ghibli is a mature car: elegant, chic, sporty and – compared to the Germans – rebellious.

Its 6-liter twin-turbo V3.0 with 409 hp. and 550 Nm - not the most powerful in the segment, but the Ghibli in terms of dynamic qualities cannot envy anyone. At a price of 86.000 euros, it's really hard to find a reason not to buy it.

Mercedes E-Class AMG

Mercedes AMGs have always been fast cars, it doesn't rain. However, even a few years ago, their sportiness was closer to American muscle cars than to European ones: fast on a straight line, but swaying a little when cornering.

With the latest generation AMG E-Class the music has changed. Not only is the 6.3-liter naturally aspirated engine retired in favor of the 5,5-liter twin-turbo V8 with 557 hp. (585 in the S version), but also because the chassis is finally at engine height. If 10 years ago the gap between Mercedes and BMW was huge, now it's just a matter of taste; also because the price is the same.

Porsche Panamera

Porsche found it difficult to move the lineup 911 on a sedan over 5 meters long, and the final stylistic result did not convince everyone, greatly dividing the public. But no one has any doubts about the controllability. The most dynamic version is the GTS, equipped with an 8-horsepower turbocharged V4.8 engine with 411 hp. and rear-wheel drive at a price of 129.000 euros.

For the craziest at 186.000 570 euros (Lamborghini price) there is also a Turbo S version with 0 hp. and acceleration to 100 in 3,8 seconds.

Bentley Continental GT

La Bentley Continental GT it is an institution. It won't be the fastest or most agile, but when it comes to killing miles with ease, it is second to none. The British "entry-level" variant costs € 186.000 and is equipped with a 8-liter V4.0 twin-turbo 560 hp engine capable of propelling it from 0 to 100 km / h in 4,8 seconds to a top speed of 308 km / h. hour Rocket for long-distance travel and a convenient companion in everyday life.
