5 tips for caring for motorcycle boots!

When you love your equipment, you service it! And given the price of a motorcycle, it's best to take care of them if you want to keep them for a while.

Tip # 1: Wash your shoes

Washing your shoes is very important if you want to keep them in good condition. Insects and all kinds of dust stick to them with pleasure. To clean them, nothing more. Use a soft sponge or cloth, warm water, and Marseilles soap or white vinegar. Then, wash the boots with a damp sponge to remove particles.

As with the first tip, let your boots dry in a dry place. Do not place them near a radiator, fireplace, or other heat source.

Tip # 2: feed your motorcycle boots

Finally, once your boots are clean and dry, you need to feed them to keep them flexible. Use suede or fabric and apply a leather product such as DrWack Balm. You can replace balms, fats, and other specific products with baby milk or cleansing milk, which will do the job just fine! Milk is a good solution, it does not leave greasy shoes, the skin is nourished and therefore the shoes are softer.

Feel free to apply it generously! The leather of the boot will absorb a lot of milk, and if it remains, remove it with a rag.

Tip # 3: Dry Feet!

After thorough cleaning and good feeding, you can make your boots waterproof. To do this, use a waterproof DrWack spray and apply it all over the boot. Be sure to insist on the seams so that no water gets in on your first ride.

If you have waterproof boots, you can run them 2-3 times a year to prevent your leather from absorbing too much water. On the other hand, if your boots are not waterproof, they should be waterproof every time you go outside.

Tip 4: dry boots!

In addition to cleaning shoes, feeding and waterproofing, it is important to take care of where you leave them. Boots should be stored in a dry and dust-free place. Ideally, keep the original box.

Be careful if your boots get caught in the rain, let them dry well at room temperature. Once again, it is important not to put them next to a heat source, this will harden them.

Tip # 5: Outside, inside the shoes, everything goes!

You have nice and clean shoes, but don't forget the inside!

If the insole is removable, it can be machine washed on a delicate program.

It is best to use a product such as GS27 Helmet, Shoes and Glove Sanitizer. It kills bacteria, removes unpleasant odors and disinfects the inside of the shoe. The product should be sprayed directly inside the shoe and then allowed to dry for one minute. Your boots can be used right away!
