AB - Adaptive brake

Basically it is an emergency braking assistance system with a few more functions. The integrated adaptive braking system enhances driving comfort and safety by supporting the most dangerous braking maneuvers with the basic functions of the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and alleviating the most difficult driving situations with the comfort functions. It also includes the HOLD function, which acts as a parking brake and is activated by lightly pressing the accelerator pedal.

The HOLD function prevents the vehicle from unintentionally moving on slopes, at red lights or when driving with stops.
