ABA - Active Brake Assist

Active Emergency Braking, also called Emergency Braking Assistant, is equipped with three radars that scan 7 to 150 meters in front of a heavy vehicle and constantly detect the difference in speed with respect to the vehicle ahead. can cause an alarm, first a visual alarm is given, represented by a triangle highlighted in red, and then an audible alarm sounds. If the situation becomes more critical, the system reacts with a partial braking maneuver if necessary, and then automatically initiates emergency braking with a defined braking force.

Although a rear-end collision cannot always be avoided with Active Brake Assist, emergency braking significantly reduces the speed of the impact, thereby mitigating the consequences of an accident.
