Abarth 595 Pista 2020 confirmed for Australia
Thanks to an enlarged turbocharger, the Abarth 595 Pista delivers 123 kW/230 Nm.
Fiat Chrysler Australia will be showing the just-revealed Abarth 595 Pista at local showrooms at a time yet to be determined.
Shown in the UK, the Pista is powered by the same turbocharged 1.4-litre petrol engine as the rest of the Abarth 595 range, but with a larger Garrett turbocharger with a reduced compression ratio of 9:1.
As a result, the Pista produces 123kW of power and 230Nm of torque, placing it between the base 107kW/206Nm 595 and the top-of-the-line Competizone 132kW/250Nm.
Standard equipment on the Pista includes a flat-bottomed steering wheel, sport mode and a 7.0-inch Uconnect infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Overseas, the Pista is also fitted with a Record Monza Active exhaust system and Kona rear suspension, as well as a matte gray paint job with green highlights.
Expect to see the 595 Pista in Australian showrooms towards the end of the year or early 2020 for around $30,000 before travel, but full pricing and specifications will be revealed at a later date.
