ACD - active center differential

It is an active center differential developed by Mitsubishi that uses an electronically controlled Haldex multi-plate hydraulic clutch that distributes torque between the front and rear wheels according to driving conditions, thus providing the best balance between traction and steering response.

ACD - active center differential

Designed for high-performance 4WD vehicles, it actively adjusts the torque distribution – up to 50:50 – between the front and rear wheels, thereby improving steering response and, at the same time, traction.

The ACD has three times the limiting capacity of the Viscous Joint Differential (VCU). For use in a variety of motorsports, ACD has been designed to provide maximum handling without compromising vehicle stability.
