The ADAC Automobile Club unites everyone who pays an annual fee and receives a special card that entitles them to use special membership services.

What does ADAK do?

The German Automobile Club ADAC is not only involved in providing assistance to drivers on the roads throughout Europe, but also in many other aspects, such as:

  • crash tests of cars and motorcycles, i.e. safety tests,

ADAC and activities in Germany – what is worth knowing?

ADAC in Germany mainly operates as a mobile emergency support service. What does it mean? Yellow ADAC vehicles are especially recognizable on German roads. The rule is very simple. You must apply and pay the fee once a year, which is currently 54 euros. This is not much, and allows you to get a loyalty card that gives you the right to use free towing services and technical assistance on the road. As a member of ADAC Germany, you can also look forward to interesting vehicle insurance offers.

An ADAC policy in Germany is optional, but worth buying for a few simple reasons. By paying only 54 euros, you will receive basically:

  • the possibility of free evacuation in the event of a sudden breakdown of the car or an accident in Germany,

ADAC in our country - does it work at all?

In Poland, ADAC operates on the same principles as in Germany. The club's specialists also take care of road safety and intensive medical care for ADAC members. However, it should be borne in mind that the prices for membership in our country are slightly different:

  • basic package for a partner - 94 or 35 euros per year,
  • premium package - 139 euros or 125 euros with a discount for the disabled.

In our country, the name ADAC is not as well known as, for example, in Germany. Starter is the first company to enter the market as a partner of the German Automobile Club. However, yellow cars in our country are not so noticeable, which translates into less interest in such services.

ADAC tests in the field of car seats - what does it look like in practice?

ADAC car seats are tested in terms of failure rate and safety level during crash simulations. During testing, ADAC pays attention not only to the quality of workmanship and the level of safety provided, but also to the ease of keeping the seat clean. The results of ADAC tests allow you to evaluate whether a particular model of car seat is worth considering, and will reduce the number of fatal road accidents involving children or even newborns.

When testing ADAC seats (even with a frontal impact of 64 km/h or a side impact of 50 km/h), experts check such points as:
