Adrian Sutil: to hell and back – Formula 1

Adrian Sutil can rightfully become one of the strongest German pilots in circulation. Driver Force India was forced to miss the 1 F2012 world championship due to 18 months imprisonment (suspended) for a neck injury with a glass of champagne Eric Lux, CEO Genius Capital, the investment fund that controls the Lotus stable.

Everyone thought that his career in the Circus would finally end and instead he managed to come back and show good things behind the wheel of an Indian car, a real revelation of the 1 Formula 2013 World Championship. Let's find out his story together.

Adrian Sutil: biography

Adrian Sutil He was born in Starnberg (Germany) January 11, 1983 He started his career in the world motorsport – like most of his colleagues – with i kart and at 19 he surprised the world by dominating the Swiss championship Formula Ford 1800: twelve wins and twelve pole positions in 12 Grand Prix.

Lots of apprenticeship

In 2003 he moved to BMW formula while the next year is focused on 3 formula... In this category in 2005 he became the vice-champion of Europe and took second place in the Masters: in both competitions he finished behind his rival friend. Lewis Hamilton (which will not testify in his favor at the 2012 trial).

After a lackluster experience in A1 Grand Prix In 2006 Adrian Sutil moves to Asia: finished third Macau Grand Prix and becomes the champion of Japan 3 formula... Success opens doors F1 and in the same year he was appointed a tester Central.

Adventure F1

Debut in F1 2007 with the Dutch team rookie Spyker excellent: German driver outperforms his teammates Christian Albers, Marcus Winkelhock e Sakon Yamamoto (not a phenomenon, to be honest) and scores a point by finishing eighth in the Japanese Grand Prix.

in 2008 Adrian Sutil moved to Force India, another rookie team, born in the ashes of Midland and Spiker: the car is not the best, but it must be said that its performance is lower than that of the more experienced coéquipier. Giancarlo Fisichella... The situation repeats itself in 2009, when the Teutonic rider nevertheless manages to touch the podium in the Italian Grand Prix with the best result of his career: 4th place.

2010 and, most importantly, 2011 are two great years: in the first year, he easily gets rid of a teammate. Vitantonio Liuzzi and in the second, he gets rid of the "colleague" Pol di Resta and ends the season in the top ten (9th place) in the general classification.

After 2012 on hold for legal reasons, 2013 began with ups and downs: the debut Australian Grand Prix ended in 7th place, but from that point on, it can no longer rank in the top ten, unlike Pol di Resta (the fourth two days ago in Bahrain and twice the eighth).
