The French company Parrot presented the car computer Asteroid at CES. The car runs on Android, has a 3,2-inch screen and is controlled using the buttons on the steering wheel. Asteroida software includes POI search, maps, internet radio and music recognition tool.

Communication with the Internet is carried out through a cellular phone with a Bluetooth interface; You can also connect to the network thanks to the UMTS module. Parrot Asteroid can also charge iPhone and iPod batteries and play music stored on them.

It uses the USB interface. Music can also be saved to an SD card or streamed via Bluetooth. The list of accessories also includes a GPS receiver, a 55W amplifier and? on some models? RDS (Radio Data System) compatible radio receiver.

The asteroid is expected to hit stores later this quarter. The price of the device is not yet known. Parrot intends to prepare more applications for the computer. (Parrot)
