Anticorrosive Wurth
The composition is a low-viscosity oil, immiscible with water and chemically inert towards painted metal or plastic. Physical and mechanical parameters comply with DIN 50021 standards. After application, it forms a self-sealing protective film that does not dry out in air. Provides healing of small scratches and chips, prevents the spread of rust. Judging by the reviews, it is characterized by increased adhesion to steel surfaces, but it is extremely difficult to remove from them, therefore it is not recommended for use on the external surfaces of a car.
Processing sequence:
- Clean the surface of dirt.
- Dry it thoroughly.
- Using a spray or roller, apply the composition in a thin layer (not recommended for processing at low temperatures).
- After application, the treated area should be kept for 5-10 minutes, after which further actions should be performed with it.
After 5 ... 6 months of vehicle operation, it is recommended to repeat the treatment with Wurth anticorrosive.
Wurth Rust Converter Instructions for Use
This dispersion composition has a dark color, which is explained by the presence of organometallic compounds. It is they who turn rust and iron oxides into a stable and water-insoluble complex. Under normal temperature conditions (from 0 to 40 °C) the transformation reaction is completed in 3 hours. Before this period, the surface should not be painted, coated with polyester fillers or other preservatives. Processing sequence:
- Clean the surface of scale and dirt.
- Rinse out salts with water.
- Degrease the treated area.
- Dry without resorting to accelerated hot air drying technologies.
- Using a brush, roller or sprayer, apply Wurth Rust Converter thinly and evenly. Drops and smudges are not allowed.
This product is not a paint, therefore treated surfaces must subsequently be painted within 48 hours. Paints with a high zinc content must not be used. The Wurth Rust Converter is ready to be painted when it changes color to blue-black (this will take about 3 hours). Treated surfaces must not be washed with water, and unwanted splashes of product can be removed with methylated spirits, but only up to the reaction time.
Residues of anticorrosive or Wurth rust converter after filtering can be drained into a separate plastic container. Do not store or use in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces, protect from frost. Shelf life 5 years.
If the freshly treated surface is lightly wiped with a soft flannel cloth, the surface looks like it has just been sanded.
