Arc Vector: a premium electric motorcycle rises from the ashes

Declared bankrupt in 2019, UK maker Arc Vehicle is back on the scene to relaunch Vector, an ultra-premium positioning electric motorcycle.

The life of a builder is sometimes full of twists and turns. Introduced to the electric motorcycle world with great fanfare in 2018, the Arc Vehicle made a splash at EICMA with the Vector, an electric motorcycle that combines performance and futuristic design. Promising a bright future, the young brand closed its doors next year due to financial difficulties with its investors.

However, the story is not over yet, as Mark Truman, the founder of Arc, said he bought the brand to better restart it. ” Four months ago, I decided to buy the assets myself. The project went too far and was too well received for me not to develop it. The global support we received from people was amazing and really left me no other choice. " He said.

One-of-a-kind electric motorcycle

Built with vintage Jaguar designs, the Arc Vector is unlike any other. Powered by a 95 kW (127 hp) electric motor, it promises a top speed of 200 km / h to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3,2 seconds.

Accumulating capacity of 16,8 kWh, the battery provides up to 436 km of autonomous operation in an urban cycle and can be charged in just 45 minutes from a fast direct current (DC) terminal.

The Arc Electric Motorcycle not only features design and exceptional performance, but also some new features. In particular, the manufacturer has worked on a number of accessories to better communicate with the driver. The program includes: a jacket with tactile feedback, providing a series of warnings, and a helmet equipped with a windshield display device that projects some of the information onto the visor.

For the price, the positioning is ultra-premium. At the time of the presentation of the model, the British manufacturer announced a price of 90.000 pounds 99.000, or XNUMX XNUMX euros at the current price.

First deliveries in 2021?

At this stage, Mark Truman does not say whether the project will be repeated identically or modified. “Without pressure from a large company, we are moving a little slower now. The first bicycles will be delivered to customers in 12 months. "He indicated, clarifying that the first 10 customers will benefit from the series "Special". To be continued!
