Arc Vector: 100.000 Euro electric motorcycle to be produced in 2020

With the support of the Jaguar Land-Rover investment fund, the British manufacturer's electric motorcycle will go into production in 2020.

While the electric motorcycle sector remains relatively young, more and more manufacturers are heading out in search of adventure. Harley-Davidson, Triumph ... In addition to the heavyweights in this sector, there are also many specialized startups emerging. This is the case of the British brand Arc Vehicles, which debuted last November at EICMA with the Vector, a high-end electric motorcycle with a futuristic look and feel. Among them we find, in particular, a helmet equipped with a display on the windshield, which allows relaying all information about the motorcycle to the visor.

Up to 435 kilometers of autonomy

While Arc is still cautious about the battery capacity, the cells of which are provided by the Korean Samsung, the manufacturer is more generous with autonomy, promising up to 435 kilometers with a charge. A theoretical value that will drop to 190 kilometers on the motorway.

As for the engine, the system develops up to 133 horsepower and 148 Nm of torque, which is enough to accelerate the car to 241 km / h from 0 to 100 km / h in 2,7 seconds.

In terms of price, this first British electric motorcycle is the best in the lineup. Advertised at £ 90.000 or more than € 100.000, it will begin production in 2020.

Assembled in a factory dedicated to Wales, it will be produced in a limited edition of 399 pieces. At the moment, the brand does not say how much has been sold.
