Summer fragrance in cosmetics

When the days are shorter than the nights, and the evenings are cold and foggy, it is difficult to part with the aroma of fresh fruits, herbs or flowers that accompanied us all summer. To soften the effects of autumn and winter weather, you should turn to perfumes and cosmetics that will remind you of the smell of sunny summer.

Our nose can bring back the most distant memories. Through our sense of smell, we can momentarily travel to the ends of the world, to past holidays or pleasant moments, like the one in which we ate the first strawberry of this season. Why is this happening?

This year's research shows that of all the senses available to us, the sense of smell has the strongest connection to the memory center in the brain that stores memories, the hippocampus. Researchers at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine in the US traced the neurobiological pathway between the nose and the brain and found that, unlike vision, hearing, and touch, smell has the easiest, fastest, and most direct access to the hippocampus. This is why our memories are so strongly associated with smells. During the pandemic, it also became clear how important this subtle feeling is for us. Researchers point out that the loss of smell may be associated with many health problems and poor quality of life. More research is underway on smell, but in the meantime, it's worth training your nose to remember and preserve the best memories of the past summer.

Seasonal fruits in the tub

The smell and taste of freshly picked peaches from the tree or raspberries straight from the bush or the first sour apples. From all this I want to close my eyes and with a smile, at least for a second, be transported to warm days. The perfect time to refresh yourself with the scents of summer is in the shower or bath in a tub filled with fruity scents. A liquid, salt, sparkling ball or bath powder has the magical power to evoke memories. Here you will find the aroma of juicy mango, cherry and sunny citrus. The notes on the packaging should indicate the set of ingredients for skin care. Then you can be sure that in addition to the wonderful aroma, cosmetics will be no less valuable in the composition. Such as, for example, Nacomi effervescent bath balls filled with raspberry aroma and grape seed oil, shea butter and vitamin E. They moisturize and nourish the body.

If you prefer a bubble bath, try Italian fig nectar. This sweet and fruity scent of Ziaja Bath Lotion also has relaxing properties. In turn, among the most summery, festive flavors you will find berries and raspberries, coconut milk, mango and papaya. There is something for those who are not faithful to the aroma of cosmetics and like to change it. Small disposable bath bags are ideal for such occasions. The powder contained in them instantly dissolves in water, releasing the aromas of summer fruits.

Sweets in a bottle

When the aroma of a bath is not enough, a perfume that will retain the fruity sweetness longer will come in handy. It all depends on the climate you like in fragrances. For lovers of Italian holiday scents, sweet figs and delicate lotus flowers are perfect, as in Jo Malone Cologne, or Sicilian lemon and grapefruit in Lanvin's A girl in Capri.

On the other hand, fragrances from the fruity family are fragrances with a climate reminiscent of Polish orchards and orchards. Raspberries, currants, plums and apricots - sweet and desserty notes can be found in Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum, Dolce & Gabbana's Dolce Shine and Joyful Escada. On the other hand, if you want to remember the smell of meadows, flowers and herbs, take water with notes of Memoire D'Une Odeur, Gucci chamomile and jasmine.

Finally, nostalgic, summery fragrances should be complemented with notes that smell the most on summer evenings, i.e. lily, jasmine and mint. And there is a lot of choice. Starting with Yves Saint Laurent's elegant jasmine floral Libre water or Elisabeth Arden's less obliging Green Tea with mint, and finally ending the trio with a very feminine, classic lily fragrance in Chloe Eau de Parfum.

Perfume for the interior

There is another category of fragrances that, while not falling under the definition of skin or body care products, are mood-enhancing, just like a good perfume. We are talking about flavored water, incense sticks, sprays, sticks and candles that bring the atmosphere of summer into the interior throughout the autumn-winter season. They act like perfume, except that if you choose to spray, you must spray curtains, pillows, carpet, or just air. Of course, the sweetest aromas are red fruits, which are the most in Black Edition interior perfumes. There are also candles that smell like the middle of summer on an exotic island. Coconut, vanilla, mango, pineapple in a Lana scented candle or the green jungle that lurks under the name The Last Paradise in the Yankee Candle. The warm light from a candle flame can be replaced by a plume of smoke from Boles d'olor orange and grape incense sticks, or an elegant bottle of sticks and Cocobanana banana and coconut milk scented e-liquid.
