Aston Martin has announced that it will go hybrid in 2024 and all-electric in 2030.

Aston Martin believes it can become a sustainable ultra-luxury car brand and is already working hard to achieve this. According to reports, the brand could introduce its first hybrid in 2024 and then make way for an all-electric sports car.

Aston Martin is joining the ranks of automakers promising to sell only electric cars in the surprisingly near future. Many manufacturers are committed to being less harmful to the environment both at the production stage and on the road. Since Porsche switching the legendary 718 line to all-electric, many companies have been looking to improve their environmental impact from start to finish.

In the recent past, Aston Martin already has some developments for electric vehicles.

Aston Martin is said to launch its first hybrid car in 2024. Although there are no official announcements, some suspect that a mid-engine overhaul of the iconic name will be a candidate. In addition, in 2025 the company intends to launch its first mass-produced car only on batteries.

At the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Aston Martin unveiled the Rapide E, an all-electric version of the brand's four-door sedan. Aston intended to produce 155 production models of this car. However, it looks like he has hit the chopping block since then. However, there is a chance that it will return as the first all-electric Aston Martin. In addition, Autoevolution adds that the electrical components that Aston used at the time were not up to modern standards. The British company probably canceled it because it wasn't good enough.

The transition of Aston Martin to electric vehicles, along with other European manufacturers, follows the Euro-7 standard. It is essentially a law requiring all automakers to cut emissions by 2025. This is not a small goal either. The government wants cuts between 60% and 90%. Autoevolution says many European manufacturers see the timeframe as unreasonably optimistic. However, that certainly hasn't stopped manufacturers from trying to change the way they work.

The iconic sports car brand doesn't just want to make its cars better for the environment.

Aston doesn't just strive to make its cars better for the environment. The company's CEO, Tobias Mörs, is planning a 2039% organic production. Not only that, Moers hopes to have a fully green supply chain by XNUMX.

“While we support electrification, we believe our sustainability ambitions must go beyond the production of emissions-free vehicles and we want to embed sustainability into our operations with a team that represents society with pride producing products. making a positive contribution to the communities in which we operate,” Moers said.

Although ambitious, Moers is confident that Aston Martin can become "the world's leading sustainable ultra-luxury company." Aston Martin is certainly not known for creating hunched cars. Unfortunately, its V8 and V12 engines are not very good on their own from an environmental point of view.

So the combination of its sports car heritage coupled with the brutal acceleration of electric vehicles will certainly make driving a car fun. No one can say for sure what the future holds for the global automotive market in regards to electric vehicles. However, it is safe to assume that they will be very fast and fun to drive.
