Test drive Audi A3 Sportback or Q2: which is better

We are comparing two models with a base petrol engine and a DSG dual-clutch transmission.

Surprisingly, the Audi Q2 subcompact crossover is slightly cheaper than the A3. But is this the best car for everyday life?

The price difference between the A1400 Sportback and the cheaper Q3 is around 2 euros in the German market - and that's already clear, isn't it? (In Bulgaria, the difference is much smaller and amounts to about a hundred leva). The small crossover is the newer of the two cars, and the A3 will be replaced next year.

One of the decisive numbers in this comparison is 36 millimeters. At the same time, the wheelbase of the Q2 is shorter than that of the A3 Sportback. It sounds a little, but its impact on the cabin space is great. Inside, the Sportback looks a class wider, especially at the rear, noticeably more spacious. If you're going to be carrying passengers a lot, the A3 is definitely a more suitable car - especially since the Q2 crossover has narrower doorways due to the coupe-like line. Slightly improved suspension comfort also speaks in favor of the Sportback.

Both cars have a 116 hp liter three-cylinder engine. raises no objections. He drives both models with front-wheel drive not quite with strong pressure, but quite balanced and temperamental. By the way, a slightly more agile car is a larger but lighter A3 Sportback.

CONCLUSION

Although it will be replaced next year, the A3 Sportback is far from obsolete. With more space and useful features here, it outperforms the Q2.
