Today we will show you a video tutorial and a photo of how to replace the front brake pads and discs on an Audi A4 B5 car with your own hands.

Jack up the car, unscrew the front wheels. Using a flathead screwdriver, remove the spring:

With a hexagon for 7, we unscrew the screws with which the caliper is attached to the bracket:

We tighten the piston in the caliper with a special clamp:

They removed the old pads from the caliper and hung them on the suspension parts. With a 7 head, unscrew the 2 screws that hold the bracket:

We remove the bracket, immediately clean it with a metal brush from the formed rust, accumulated dirt. We remove the brake disc, it does not have additional fasteners:

Very often, after long-term operation, it sticks to its seat, it turns out that it simply knocks it down, since we still make a replacement, this can be done without saving a regular hammer. Clean the seat thoroughly with a wire brush and lubricate it with copper grease. We put a new disk, temporarily clamp 1 wheel bolt to hold it, install the bracket:

We install new calipers and brake pads, mount everything in the reverse order. We start the engine and press the brake pedal several times until it stops, thereby pumping the brake system a little. The first 100 km pads will wear out, try not to brake sharply during this time.
