However, the manufacturer is consistent and the RS6 station wagon enters the third generation - with 1,2 bar pressure, providing ejection torque under the hood.

On site, the eight-cylinder unit rumbles slightly. Even before the tachometer needle reaches the 2000 rpm mark, 700 Nm (50 more than the previous V10) is drained and the drive unit boils. The four-liter engine pulls the Audi RS6 forward with incredible brutality, according to the factory specification in 3,9 seconds from zero to 100 km / h.

Although the body of the Audi RS6 Avant weighs about 1,9 tons, it has an incredibly calming effect on the driver's behavior, which is extremely important for high-speed sections. And in the turns? After all, the new RS 6 weighs about 100 kilograms less than the previous series (about 80 kg of them are saved from the front of the Audi RS6 Avant). Otherwise, the behavior is not unexpected - too bold handling of the throttle is punished by serving the ass, and excessive work with the steering wheel leads to understeer.

The variable-tuning steering (optional) performs particularly well in dynamic mode, and in normal mode it works with a constant ratio of 14:1 and in addition has good feedback to make the almost five meter long Audi RS6 Avant easy to handle. About the management: the eight-speed automatic transmission is controlled by paddles from the steering wheel, and in manual mode it works not very smoothly, but nevertheless it is very fast indeed.
