Audi has created an anniversary model of its supercar

The German automaker has created a limited edition of the modified R8 V10 quattro supercar, limited to 30 pieces. There will be 25 coupes and 5 spiders, each targeting the North American market.

This modification is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the production of V-shaped internal combustion engines for 10 cylinders, which is celebrated in 2019. Cars will differ in their unique colors, a rich set of additional options that are already included in the package, as well as additional exterior elements.

The base color for all R8 Limited Edition models is Mugello Blue. Coupe customers will be able to choose from 15 different shades, while Spyder customers can choose from 5, including the new Avus Silver and Sonoma Green.

The anniversary R8 V10 quattro will be unique in that it will receive equipment from the Performance model. For example, the standard equipment offers a lightweight exhaust system, as well as thresholds made of composite materials. The model will also receive a carbon fiber front splitter, silver mirrors and red brakes.

The changes in the interior are less. Alcantara is used for the ceiling, and the edges of the dashboard and air ducts are made of carbon fibers.

Technically, however, the car has not been modified. As before, the supercar uses a 10-liter V5,2, developing 570 hp. and 550 Nm of torque. The engine works in conjunction with a 7-speed gearbox and quattro all-wheel drive.
