Automobili Pininfarina Battista 2020: Named "Most Powerful Italian Car of All Time"

The long teased Automobili Pininfarina has entered the supercar market and is promised by the brand to be the "most powerful Italian car" under the Battista name.

Named after company founder Battista Farina (although the word also translates to "Baptist" in English), the PF0 codenamed car has a few bold claims to live up to; namely, that it will be the most powerful automobile ever produced by a country famous for riding our raging bulls and prancing horses.

Helping out the carbon-fiber-wrapped EV supercar will be staggering performance: the brand promises a whopping 1900 hp. (1416 kW) and 2300 Nm. And that, readers, is enough. So much so, in fact, that the brand is promising faster acceleration than the current F1 car, as the Battista is capable of hitting 100 km/h in “less than two seconds” and reaching a top speed of over 402 km/h. .

What’s more, the brand promises a 300-kilometer electric range – although it’s likely not if they’re driven by anger.

We don't know exactly how this energy will be generated yet, and we don't even know what the Battista actually looks like, but we do know that they are expected to cost up to $2.5 million ($3.4 million), and that Pininfarina collaborates with electric vehicle specialists. Rimac for important parts of the bottom of the Battista.

The brand has allocated just 50 vehicles for the US, 50 vehicles for Europe and another 50 for distribution between the Middle East and Asia (including Australia, presumably). So, if you want, have this checkbook ready.
