The 4-speed automatic transmission Ford CD4E was produced from 1993 to 2000 in Batavia and was installed on such popular Ford models as the Mondeo or Probe. This transmission, after a slight modernization in 2000, received a new index 4F44E.
Front-wheel drive 4-automatic transmissions also include: AXOD, AX4S, AX4N, 4EAT‑G and 4EAT‑F.
