Disadvantages, breakdowns and problems of automatic transmission 6L80
The weak point of this box is the torque converter and especially its hub
Also, for active owners, the friction clutch of its blocking wears out very quickly.
And then this dirt clogs the solenoids, which causes the lubricant pressure in the system to drop.
Then the clutches in the packages begin to burn, and often their drums even burst
Like the 4L60 automatic transmission, the petal-type oil pump does not tolerate driving at high speeds
Quite often there are failures of the control unit due to transmission overheating.
In the early years, there were many cases of rotation of the pump cover O-rings.
