The Hyundai-Kia A8LR8 1-speed automatic transmission has been produced in Korea since 2010 and is installed on rear and all-wheel drive models with powerful turbo engines and V6 engines. When designing this transmission, the engineers took as a basis the well-known automatic transmission ZF 8HP45.
The A8 family also includes: A8MF1, A8LF1, A8LF2 and A8TR1.

The first years of this machine often burned out the electronic control board
But now all the problems here are connected only with the wear of the GTF locking clutch
The channels of the automatic transmission valve body and especially the solenoids suffer from its wear products.
Then the drop in oil pressure in the system reduces the life of the clutches in the packages
Overheating can melt plastic washers and clog the box filter
