The ZF 4HP4 18-speed automatic transmission was produced from 1984 until about 2000 in many modifications: 4HP18FL, 4HP18FLA, 4HP18FLE, 4HP18Q, 4HP18QE, and also 4HP18EH. This transmission was installed on front and all-wheel drive models with engines up to 3.0 liters.
The 4HP family also includes automatic transmissions: 4HP14, 4HP16, 4HP20, 4HP22 and 4HP24.
