Warner Brothers has also used this car in other films, but it is best known for the movie Casablanca.

I'm looking at you, Buick. The convertible driven by Humphrey Bogart from the classic Casablanca movie will go under the hammer in November as the star of a memorabilia auction.

A 1940 Buick Model 81C phaeton convertible with trunk was one of only 230 cars built that year and still has a desirable low mileage of around 42,000 miles (68,000 km). The straight-eight engine was overhauled along with most of the mechanical parts in the 1990s and the brown canvas convertible roof was replaced.

However, the interior shows signs of water damage, as well as burn marks on the fabric upholstery - rumored to be from the ubiquitous Bogart cigarette - so the new owner may decide not to reupholster the car.

Warner Brothers has also used the car in other films, including The High Sierra, but it is best known for Casablanca, playing a supporting role in the iconic "We'll Always Have Paris" farewell scene at the airport.

Bonhams will put it up for sale on November 25 as part of the What Dreams Are Made Of: A Century Movie Magic auction in New York with an estimate of up to $500,000.

This is a far cry from the millions recently paid for movie cars such as copy of the Ferrari from the movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"и James Bond submarine Lotus - bought Owner of Tesla Elon Musk. And they didn't even come with Bogart's cigarette scars.
