The car will warn against cyclists [video]

This year's Jaguar models will have a cyclist warning system. The project was created due to the large number of accidents involving cyclists in the UK.

New Jaguar models will be equipped with special sensors. As soon as they detect the movement of a bicycle ten meters from the car, the driver will immediately be informed about this by a special sound signal that mimics the sound of a bell. The screen will also show the direction of the bike.

The system will use LED lights, as well as special vibrating elements. If the driver tries to open the car door while a cyclist is passing by, the warning lights will come on and the door handle will vibrate. The gas pedal will behave similarly if the sensors detect that removal, for example, at a traffic light, will pose a threat.

Jaguar decided to implement this app because of the 19 two wheeler accidents that occur each year in the UK.
