Gasoline in Lada Vesta: which is better?
A domestic consumer is a peculiar personality, and even with inscriptions near the gas tank cap with a recommendation to fill in only AI-95 gasoline, not everyone will follow this rule. Many people remember very well that such stickers were still on the first Kalina, VAZ 2112 with 1,5 16-cl engines, or even 1,6 8-cl. But what about in those days, that now few people paid attention to these inscriptions.
Another important role is played by a certain kind of rumors that there is simply no difference in 92nd and 95th gasoline, and the octane number is achieved only by a set of special additives. It may be so, whoever argues that, but you should not assume that this will make the engine worse to drive on AI-95 gasoline.
But there is one more thing that is revealed only after opening the engine:
- When operating on 92nd gasoline, there is a pronounced red coating on the spark plugs and valves
- When using 95 gasoline, candles and valves are light and without any signs of plaque
I think it's not worth explaining once again that the absence of plaque is clearly a better sign than its presence. It is also worth considering the fact that using unleaded gasoline increases engine power and decreases fuel consumption. So, imaginary savings when refueling can result in costs.
