In the beginning, a few words about the construction itself, which immediately catches the eye due to its attractive design. Oontz is based on an angular style and draws attention with its streamlined shapes, which together with the colorful grille (nine options available) create a really good effect. Thanks to its small size and modest weight, the device fits easily into a standard messenger bag, not to mention a backpack. The advantage is that the manufacturer put a practical case in the box that can protect the column from dust or accidental splashes.

Oontz is based on Bluetooth technology, which provides wireless audio reception from all compatible mobile devices, computers, etc. However, if you want to play music from your battered MP3 player, for example, the AUX output will come to you on help - a 3,5 mm cable is also included with the speaker.

Thanks to the wireless connection, Oontz can easily communicate with the signal source even at a distance of 8-9 meters. During the tests, we did not encounter a single situation where the connection was cut off, and the pairing process of both devices was very fast. Also of note is the fact that the Cambridge Soundworks product can act as a slightly larger loudspeaker. In this role, it works almost flawlessly - the quality of the audio signal on both sides of the telephone connection is at a good level, but it is worth remembering to be near the loudspeaker during a conversation. The built-in microphone does a good job of picking up sound details, but when we stand too far away from it, there can be slight distortion in the transmission.

The device is controlled using the control buttons on the side. In addition to the standard options for selecting a signal source, starting/pausing music or adjusting the volume, we also find buttons responsible for switching the songs being played. This extremely useful feature is often missing from speakers that cost twice as much as Oontz, so its presence should be clearly emphasized. It is also necessary to mention a powerful battery that allows you to relax with wireless music for 9-10 hours. In fact, the only visible drawback of this product is that the package does not contain a charger, but a regular USB cable.

There is nothing difficult for a willing person, and buying a current adapter should not be a problem for anyone. At such a low price and modest size, this speaker offers good sound quality. It sounds quite loud and does not lose much of the sound detail, which is especially audible in the middle frequencies. The bass could be a little more expressive, but you also have to remember that for PLN 200 you just can't have everything.
