What to do in order not to get bored during a long car trip? This problem is especially true for parents with small children who cannot stand long hours without a car. In such a situation, many drivers give their children a tablet or phone to play with, which in the event of sudden braking or an accident can lead to tragedy.
Drivers rightly try to keep their children busy during a tiring car trip. The smallest passengers can effectively distract the driver. It is especially dangerous when the caregiver at the wheel turns to the child while driving, because then he no longer follows what is happening on the road.
To avoid trouble, many parents prefer to keep their child's attention by letting them play with their smartphone or tablet. However, this is not the best choice. The smartphone acts like a projectile under heavy braking. Its mass increases and the phone weighs as much as two bricks - with such force it can hit a passenger. Even more dangerous is a tablet that has a large mass. In the event of sudden braking or a collision, it is very difficult to keep it in your hands. Unfortunately, cases of the death of a child from a pill hit on the head in such a situation are already known.

Not only unprotected devices can be dangerous. For example, a liter bottle of water left on the rear shelf, when braking hard from a speed of 60 km / h, can hit the windshield, dashboard or passenger with a force of about 60 kg.
– Before driving, the driver must always ensure that all passengers are wearing their seat belts and that there is no loose luggage in the vehicle. Do not underestimate anything, but heavy objects with sharp edges or made of breakable materials can be especially dangerous, says Zbigniew Veseli, director of the Renault Driving School.
So how do you keep kids entertained while driving? A sturdy tablet holder attached to the front seat allows you to watch a movie safely, for example. It's also a good idea to listen to audiobooks or play word games that the whole family can participate in.
