But the situation has become even more visible: BMW has further increased its image, which, together with the integrated technology, has meant increasingly expensive tickets to the club of owners of (new) BMW cars. This is one of the reasons the series was “invented” in Munich. Just to refresh your memory, though: you don't have to check out a lot on the accessory list to pay 1 million for 120p.

This one, fortunately, is not so expensive, but it is not ashamed of its name. On the outside, an Enka is always an Enka anyway, and inside – even though the seats aren't leather – you immediately get the feeling that the materials are of very high quality. Although the seat fabric feels (too) rough on the skin, especially on hot days.

Enka, which theoretically should compete with technically completely different, but, above all, significantly cheaper mid-range cars, is really something special - because of the drivetrain. Front engine, rear wheel drive. There's no such thing. This design is also not to be feared, as you can safely trust the chassis, tires and stabilization electronics, which are "to blame" for the fact that Enko can drive even those who have just passed their driving test after 47 hours of driving.

The good side of the Enke is that it has a great adjustable driving position (possibly with maximum seat tilt from the rim), that it has great pedals, that it is easy to control, and it has a great steering wheel. and that the stabilization electronics can be turned off. If there is such a two-liter turbodiesel in the front, then the torque on the wheels will also be enough for rear games. There is still no equal among the rivals.

Despite the price and because of this, it is worth looking at the user page along with the equipment, for which, of course, it is not necessary to choose exactly this. Namely, the comparison is good - bad, or rather good - "ahem" is forced. For example: the automatic lighting of both interior vanity mirrors is good and the automatic movement of all four windows in both directions is good, and ahem there are too few boxes for small items and the fact that there is no space for passengers cans in the back.

It's a good automatic air conditioner that cools really effectively, and ahem the fact is that it has to be tampered with too often to feel good. Interior lighting is good, including four reading lights and front leg lights, ahem, hard seat backs (rear passenger's knees !!) and no pockets. It's good that there is a ski hole in the back, but ahem, there is no (middle) elbow support.

It's good to just fold the rear back a third and you have a flat surface, but it's good that it's quite high as the seat stays in place. The auto-dimming interior rearview mirror is nice, and it's good that it has a rain sensor, but ahem, the open door warning only works when the car is moving, not even the front seat belts. . they are not height adjustable.

Still warm? I think that despite all the "ahem", it is not difficult. Simply because, after all, this is a real BMW, and because it is on the verge of what else can be called conventionally achievable. But, of course, not all.
