The new BMW CE 04 electric maxi scooter is one of the first public appearances at the Munich Motor Show. Possibility of the first tour of the owner.

unique design

The successor to the C-Evolution, the BMW CE 04 is radically different from other models in the brand. Inspired by the concept of the same name, presented in November 2020, the new model from the German group features very original lines and a huge saddle. Long and flat, it offers plenty of legroom yet is relatively sturdy. If integrating the top box can be tricky, BMW has thought it all out by integrating a small sunroof. Located on the side, it allows you to place your helmet.

The equipment consists of a large digital screen. As always with BMW, the ergonomics are impeccable and provide easy access to the various menus.

With or without a license

On the technical side, there is no revolution. Like its predecessor, BMW's new electric scooter offers two power levels. While the former will be able to develop up to 42 horsepower and will require a motorcycle license, the latter will wedge a little lower. With 31 horses to accommodate in a 125cc license, it should offer much more fishing opportunities than the traditional 125.

The battery is designed for urban use and has a capacity of only 8,9 kWh. The theoretical autonomy, which we hope to check very soon during tests, is declared at 130 km.

Charging can be done in 4 hours from a regular outlet. A more powerful on-board charger is available with the € 1 option. Offering power up to 240 kW, it limits the charging time to 6,9 hours 1 minutes. However, it will be necessary to use a wall box or public terminal providing adequate power to benefit from this.
