The BMW CE-04 is BMW's new electric motorcycle. We've already seen this as a concept.
BMW has introduced a new electric motorcycle BMW CE-04. The manufacturer describes it as a two-wheeler for the city, but also emphasizes that it is equipped with a 31 kW (42 hp) engine, thanks to which we can accelerate to 50 km / h in 2,6 seconds. The price of a motorcycle in Germany starts from 11 euros, in Poland - from 990 zł.
BMW CE-04 - technical data and everything we know
The new BMW CE-04 will be available in two versions with the specified engine. power 31 kW and in a variant corresponding to the L3e-A1 class, limited to 23 kW (31 hp). In continuous mode, this will be 15 kW (20 hp) and 11 kW (15 hp), respectively. Installed at the bottom of the frame battery power of 8,9 kWh is enough to drive them about 130 kilometers, the range of the weaker version is 100 kilometers. Top speed 120 km/h.
BMW is proud to have applied permanent magnet motor (PSM) and what built-in charger it can work powerfully from 2,3 kW (standard equipment) to 6,9 kW (option). The energy charge is rated for 4:20 h or 1:40 h, respectively, but with a more powerful charger and a 20-80 percent range, we only need 45 minutes.
The BMW CE-04 has three driving modes (Eco, Rain / Rain, Road / Road), as standard it is equipped with ABS and Automatic Stability Control (ASC) to prevent rear wheels from skidding. Traction Control (DTC) and Braking Assist (ABS Pro) are optional.
The motorcycle has a 10,25-inch display, identical to that of the BMW i3. It features counters, two-wheeled vehicle information, and maps and navigation tips.
Both wheels are equipped with closed 15-inch wheels. New is access to the storage box without getting off the bike. The second glove box is located at the front of the BMW CE-04. The concept is a luminous jacket, in the serial version some buttons are integrated into the jacket, but the manufacturer does not explain their effect.
The price for the BMW CE-04 in Germany starts at 11 euros. Three additional packages are available with the motorcycle: Avantgarde for 990 euros, Dynamik for 220 euros and Comfort for 380 euros. After comparing with the costs of buying other BMW motorcycles, it turned out that Polish prices for the BMW CE-450 should start at around PLN 04.
