Bosch opens e-bike charging stations in Provence

With the summer season approaching, Bosch has just opened 12 power plants in Vaucluse to make it easier to charge users' e-bikes for long journeys.

These 12 terminals, equipped by local tourism professionals, Provencal lodging providers and tourist offices, are complemented by approximately XNUMX locations equipped with special chargers.

Places with a charging station include the Hotel Restaurant La Coquillade in Gargas, the Apt Tourist Office, the Luberon Tourist Office, the Moulin de César (leisure residence) in Vaison-la-Romaine, or the House of Truffles and Wines in Ménerbes.

Promote cycling tourism

« With this new service, long bike riders and leisure hikers now have a solution to discover Provence on an electric bike. Bosch welcomes this in his press release. A net designed for both experts and long-distance hikers, as well as beginners who find it easier to cover long distances.

The free service is easier than ever to use. Upon approaching the PowerStation, the user removes the battery from their electric bike and inserts it into the terminal. With the Bosch Fast Charger, a 1 hour 20 minute charge is enough to recover 60% of the energy. Each PowerStation can charge up to 6 Bosch batteries in secure lockers.

Other ongoing deployments

In addition to this Provencal network, many tourist sites are opening up other places, both on a French and European scale. In its statement, the supplier mentioned, inter alia, Alsace, the Grande Alpes, Corsica, the Basque Country region of Béarn and the Grand Traverse du Jura.

To learn more about the Bosch PowerStation network, the OEM offers an online mapping that brings together all deployments that have been completed.
