Brekr Model B: small electric motorcycle picks up speed
A small electric motorcycle with a minimalist look, the Brekr Model B accelerates. Wanting to speed up production, the Dutch startup has just completed a € 1,5 million fundraiser.
Brekr, a young Dutch startup specializing in electricity, is gaining traction. With a new $ 1,5 million fundraiser, the company will be able to accelerate deliveries of its first car: the Model B.
Up to 140 km of autonomy
The Model B, with its minimalist lines, is halfway between a motorcycle and a moped. Elmoto loop style.
The removable and five-hour rechargeable battery that powers the Brekr has an energy capacity of 2 kWh (50.4 V - 40.2 Ah). The claimed range is between 50 and 70 kilometers, and the range can be increased to 140 kilometers with the addition of an additional package of identical capacity.
Designed for urban use, the Model B is classified in category 50 electric. The engine driving it, integrated into the rear wheel hub, provides a peak power of up to 4 kW (nominal 2.5 kW) and a torque of 140 Nm, allowing the car to reach a top speed of 45 km / h.
Mounted on 17-inch wheels and equipped with front and rear hydraulic brakes, the machine is compact and manoeuvrable. With a battery, it weighs only 78 kg.

Quite salty addition
The Brekr electric motorcycle can be ordered through the manufacturer's online configurator. At the time of this writing, delivery times are announced to be 10 to 12 weeks.
No base price is specified for the 50 model. Calculate € 4 for the basic version with one battery. If you want to opt for the second add-on package, you will have to pay an additional € 499 1 or € 499 5 in total. It stings a little, especially since the base price of the Model B may further increase depending on the options chosen. Thus, the cost of other body colors from standard white ranges from 998 to 49 euros. The same goes for the connected app. Free in the first year, in subsequent years it becomes paid.
