The company offers a real-world solution for predictable support.

With the premiere of the Paris Motor Show, My Speedy allows drivers to receive proactive alerts and advice on the condition of their vehicles directly to their smartphones.

Bridgestone, the world's largest tire and rubber products manufacturer, announces the launch of a state-of-the-art tire and vehicle maintenance solution that can be used across Europe. The concept was developed as Bridgestone Connect to create a connected car solution that gives drivers more confidence and peace of mind. The app will be first commercialized by the French network Speedy as My Speedy. By monitoring the condition of the car in real time, the application helps drivers avoid dangerous accidents that take time and money by noting potentially dangerous problems.

As an industry leader, Bridgestone is committed to identifying and addressing drivers' daily problems with innovative, user-friendly solutions.

Today, the digital revolution is reimagining possibilities and enabling Bridgestone to deliver innovative mobility solutions that meet the needs of drivers. Based on pan-European consumer research and backed by digital tools, My Speedy is Bridgestone's solution to help drivers better maintain their vehicles.

A solution with real predictable support capabilities

Vehicle visibility is a problem for many people, and drivers are usually unaware of what is going on under the hood of their car. This can lead to unexpected and even dangerous situations. But now drivers can take advantage of the latest tire and vehicle maintenance solutions to be more discreet, saving time and money.

My Speedy uses the built-in telematics key to monitor all key vehicle components such as tires, brakes, battery, engine oil and standard signals - all in real time. And with the help of an advanced algorithm, My Speedy even has the unique ability to anticipate problems before they happen.

When potential problems are identified, the My Speedy app gives drivers added confidence and peace of mind by sending warning signals to their smartphones, as well as suggesting the best way to take action to resolve the problem. The My Speedy app also provides users with a convenient and easy way to book appointments at service stations and contains many training tips and tricks for those looking to gain basic service skills.

World leader in understanding and addressing driver needs

My Speedy is unique as it is currently the only aftermarket solution that offers a truly predictable tire and vehicle service experience. Basic features will be free, while some more advanced add-ons will be available for a fee.

Initially, the app will be launched by Bridgestone in France under the My Speedy brand in 20 Speedy stores in France from September 2018 and will gradually roll out across the entire Speedy chain in France with about 500 stores. The concept, originally developed as Bridgestone Connect, will in the future be rolled out across Europe and beyond the Speedy network.

Paolo Ferrari, CEO and President of Bridgestone EMEA, said: “A decade of experience, an ever-growing network of retailers including Speedy, Ayme Côté Route and First Stop, combined, is the largest investment in research and development. make Bridgestone a leader in understanding and meeting the needs of drivers. In a rapidly changing world and industry, My Speedy is our answer to making vehicle transparency accessible to everyone – a perennial challenge for almost every driver – and a way to help people keep moving despite the odds. Predictable support will play a key role in the future of mobility and the launch of My Speedy is a milestone on our journey.”
