Bugatti EB110

Bugatti EB110

Although the name sounds Italian, Bugatti was a French company (now owned by VW). However, after restructuring in the 90s, it became the property of Italy and the EB110 became a rival to the Ferrari F40 and Lamborghini Diablo.

Four-wheel drive

Power 552 hp transmitted to all 4 wheels, although not in equal proportions. 63% of the power goes to the rear axle, 37% to the front axle.

Four turbochargers

To avoid delayed turbine response at low engine speeds, the EB110 had as many as four small IHl turbochargers with intercoolers, two for each cylinder bank.

Carbon fiber chassis

Before the ultra-modern McLaren F1, the EB110 had a carbon fiber chassis that made it extremely durable.

V12 with four camshafts

The 3,5-liter EB110 engine runs at 8200 rpm and powers the earlier Cosworth DFV engines used in Formula 1.

Michelin special tires

Bugatti's close ties with Michelin have led to the development of the special MXX110 ultra-low profile tires for EB3, used on alloy wheels inspired by the pre-war Bugatti Royale wheels.
