Bugatti to launch unique $25 million car built for former boss

Bugatti has come up with a parting gift that's a little more special than a gold watch; a $25 million one-off Chiron to be named after former Volkswagen chairman Ferdinand Piech.

According to the report, in Blog, the one-of-a-kind hypercar that will be on display at the brand's booth at next month's Geneva Motor Show, was built for Piech as a special thank you for his role in bringing together VW and Bugatti back in 1998. .

The Piech will no doubt be based on the Chiron and powered by an even more ridiculous version of the engine often referred to as its brainchild, the 8.0-liter W16.

And let's face it, anyone who comes up with the idea of combining two V8 engines into one engine and sets the ambitious goal of building a 300 mph (483 km/h) road car deserves some recognition.

It has also been speculated that it could look completely different, possibly a redesigned version of the Chiron, similar to the Bugatti Divo that was shown at Pebble Beach last year.

This year, Bugatti will celebrate its 110th anniversary in Geneva and will also introduce a special edition 110Ans Bugatti based on the Chiron Sport.

There should be about 20 of them for sale, while Piech's car, nominally valued at $25 million but virtually priceless, will not be sold at any price.
