Abarth has once again updated the 595 Competizione.

Abarth Australia has updated its 595 lightweight car with a hatchback and convertible convertible now exclusively available in the top Competizione version.

Since the unnamed entry-level 595 is no longer available, its starting price has risen by $5960, and the Competizione hatchback now starts at $32,950 plus the road cost of a five-speed manual. The five-speed robotic automatic costs an extra $2000.

Of note, the Competizione line has gone up by $960, with the convertible now starting at $36,950 and $38,950 for the manual and robotic automatic versions, respectively.

So, what do buyers get for their additional costs? Well, the 17-inch Competizione alloy wheels have the new Lancia Delta Rally Integrale-inspired Montecarlo, and its paint options now include Rally Blue, which pays homage to the Fiat 131 Abarth Rally.

Other changes include the addition of dusk-sensing lights and rain-sensing wipers, while the 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system has a new splash screen and the Sports button has been redesigned.

Standard Competizione equipment includes daytime running lights, red Brembo front brake calipers, adaptive suspension, rear parking sensors, a Record Monza bimodal sports exhaust system and Tar Gold Gray trim.
