2021 Alpine A110 price and specs: Toyota Supra, Porsche Cayman, Jaguar F-Type and Audi TT competitor gets new A110S flagship with more power
The new A110S is at the top of the A110 range.
Better late than never, Alpine Australia has added a third full variant to its A110 coupe lineup, and the new flagship A110S now offers a more powerful option for sports car buyers.
Starting at $115,000 plus, the A110S road variant offers a decent premium over the entry-level Pure A110 ($101,000) and the mid-range Legende ($106,500), though it packs more power.
In particular, the A110S uses a 110-litre turbocharged petrol four-cylinder engine located midway from the A1.8 and increases peak power from 185kW to 215kW, although peak torque is unchanged at 320Nm.
Like the A110, the A110S is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.
This combination helps the A110S hit 100 mph in 4.4 seconds, making it a tenth of a second faster than the A110.
The A110S also stands out from the A110 crowd with its adjustable sports exhaust system and unique suspension setup, the latter featuring stiffer springs (+50%) and anti-roll bars (+100%), as well as individually tuned dampers. .
A new set of matte black 18-inch GT Race alloy wheels, wider Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires, Brembo brakes with orange calipers, and special C-pillar badges further set the A110S apart.
Meanwhile, Sabelt bucket seats, black Nappa leather and Dinamica microfiber with orange stitching, and brushed carbon fiber trim distinguish the interior of the Toyota Supra, Porsche Cayman, Jaguar F-Type and Audi TT.
Options include 18-inch Fuchs Titanium Gray alloy wheels, a high-gloss carbon fiber roof and a Focal premium audio system, as well as a mirror package (power folding side mirrors and auto-dimming rear view mirror).
