It's almost confirmed that the Chrysler 300 is on its last legs in Australia.

Shortly before its expected demise, one of three Chrysler 21 model year 300 variants became significantly more expensive in Australia.

The entry-level 300C Luxury and mid-range 300 SRT Core are still only available by special order, but the price of the latter has increased by $6500 to $72,450 plus travel expenses, while the price of the former has remained unchanged at $59,950.

Locals eager to get their hands on a sample of the latest mass produced rear-wheel drive V8 sedan for sale are more likely to walk away with the permanent flagship 300 SRT, which is offered in limited stock to private buyers. for unchanged $77,450.

The 300 SRT Core adds black satin black 20-inch alloy wheels, Brembo brakes with black calipers, Bilstein sports suspension, mechanical limited-slip differential, bimodal exhaust system, flat-bottom steering wheel (with shift paddles), front sports seats, and cloth upholstery. It should be noted that the front seats are not heated or cooled like the other two options.

Meanwhile, the 300 SRT also gets 20-inch forged alloy wheels, Bilstein adaptive dampers, red calipers, a double-glazed moonroof, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, leather and suede upholstery, carbon fiber trim, forward collision warning, forward collision warning, lane departure, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert.
