The Range Rover Evoque is now available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain dubbed the P300e.

Land Rover Australia has announced a new range of plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) for model year 23, starting with the Range Rover Evoque P300e mid-size SUV, which is now available for order.

Exclusively available in the R-Dynamic HSE version, the P300e starts at $102,001 plus on-road costs, meaning it costs $19,302 more than its P250 counterpart, which instead uses a 184-liter turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine with 365 kW / 2.0 Nm.

The P300e, on the other hand, combines a new 1.5-liter turbo-petrol three-cylinder engine with a rear-mounted electric motor for a total output of 227kW/540Nm. It also has a 15.0 kWh battery that provides 62 km of zero emission driving range (WLTP).

In terms of charging, a 32 kW DC fast charger will increase battery capacity from zero to 80 percent in half an hour, while a 7 kW AC charger can do the same job in two hours and 12 minutes.

While the P250 and P300e are all-wheel drive, the former is mated to a nine-speed torque converter automatic transmission, while the latter features an eight-speed transmission.

It should be noted that the P250 R-Dynamic SE version is available for $78,052, while the Evoque P200 (147kW/320Nm petrol) and D200 (150kW/420Nm diesel) variants with the 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine were withdrawn from sale. MG 23.

The order book will open on January 27 for the Range Rover 510e large SUV, which combines a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine with a rear-mounted electric motor for a combined output of 375 kW/700 Nm. The 38.2 kWh battery provides 80 km of zero emission driving range.

Finally, the P400e versions of the Range Rover Velar and Defender large SUVs will be available to order from the second and third quarters of this year, respectively.

The overall powertrain of the P400e combines a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine with a rear-mounted electric motor for a combined output of 297kW/640Nm. The 19.2 kWh battery provides 53 km (Velar) or 43 km (Defender) zero emission driving range.

Prices for the Range Rover 510e, Velar 400e and Defender 400e will be announced closer to their launch. Keep for updates.
