Mahindra Pik-Up 2018 Prices and Specs Confirmed

All Mahindra Pik-Up variants are equipped with a 2.2-litre mHawk turbodiesel engine producing 103kW/320Nm.

Mahindra Automotive Australia (MAAPL) has adopted four more variants of its latest generation Pik-Up ute, adding extended specifications for mid-range 4x2 and 4x4 units.

As before, prices on PikUp start at $21,990 for the base chassis with the S4 Cab with 2 × 6 single cab and go up to $31,990 for the top-of-the-line S4 Cab with 4×10 double cab and tub.

New offerings in the lineup include a "Tradie Pack" in the guise of a 4x2 Single Cab that includes a General Purpose Aluminum Sump (GPA), Bluetooth features, and cruise control, pushing the price up to $23,990.

S6 class pick-ups are equipped with steel wheels, projector headlights, air conditioning, head unit with MP3, radio and CD player, as well as side steps and cloth seats.

The higher-spec S10 gets a 6.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, alloy sports bar, cloth trim with armrests, driver-side seat adjustment, and daytime running lights.

Standard safety features across the range include hill descent control, ESC, ABS, EBD, rollover protection, airbags and a folding steering column.

Mahindra also added the S10 class for single cab 4×2 and 4×4 and 4×4 double cab in cab chassis configuration for $25,990, $28,990, and $31,500, respectively.

The Mahindra Pik-Up is powered exclusively by a 2.2kW/103Nm 320-litre mHawk turbodiesel engine and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and an Eaton mechanical locking differential.

In all variants, the pickup boasts a towing force of 2500 kg and a ground clearance of 210 mm.

In the rear-wheel drive version, the Indian-built SUV uses double wishbone independent suspension with anti-roll bar, or torsion bar independent suspension with rear leaf springs on all-pillar versions.

Mahindra PikUp comes with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty and five years of technical roadside assistance.

MAAPL's head of automotive business, Russell Thiele, said the company has been looking at new options for some time and believes the expanded specifications will help boost sales.

“We have been chasing supplies from the factory since the launch of the new Mahindra PikUp,” he said.

“Sales have been strong and with new subway dealers to be announced in Geelong and Penrith, Mahindra is providing momentum in the light commercial segment.”

“Many of our farmers and trade customers like our S10 Dual Cab but wanted the same performance in a single cab. Now, with the introduction of the S10 4x4 and 4x2 Single Cab, we are able to offer truly competitive high prices in the light commercial vehicle market.”
