Required material:

• Un spring compressor

Step 1. Remove the spring / damper pair.

To be able to replace the shock absorber cup, you need to disassemble the shock absorber, which is attached to the wheel hub with two nuts. Loosen the damper head first, then disassemble the damper completely.

Step 2: Remove the shock absorber cup.

To free the cup, compress the spring with a spring compressor before removing the stopper, cup and bearing. Also, don't forget to clean up items that you will reuse later.

Step 3: Install a new cup

Reassemble the elements in reverse order, tighten the nut to hold the cup, then release the spring.

Step 4: Assemble the spring / shock absorber pair.

All you have to do is tighten the center damper nut until the damper spring is tightened. Use the same procedure as for removing a pair of shock absorbers. Collect the wheel of your car. Your shock absorber cup has now been replaced!
