Washing and drying glasses in winter

The easiest way is aerosol de-fogging. You just need to spray them on the ice crust and wait a while. All ice and snow will melt quickly, then just wipe the glass with a dry cloth. Reapplication of the anti-fogging agent will prevent ice build-up while driving.

In no case should you immediately turn on the wipers in the cold - ice freezes on them, which will scratch and damage the glass. Wipers need to be cleaned of snow and ice, this will prolong their life. If possible, it is better to remove the wipers at night and bring them into heat.

If you want to wash your car in the cold, then you need to use special additives that will not let the water freeze. You can also add ordinary table salt to the water, but remember that salt is an abrasive substance and it can damage the paintwork and tinting, it is used solely to get rid of ice.

The condition of the glass also depends on the operation of the stove and air conditioning. When the cabin filter becomes clogged or moisture gets into the air intake, then all of it enters the cabin, and then settles in the form of condensate on the windows.

Apply an aerosol defogger to the inside of the glass, you can also use a glycerin solution, but after it remains greasy film, which is very easy to get dirty.

Drivers can often be seen scraping ice with scrapers. This must be done very carefully, but it is still better to wait until the ice thaws on its own. If you take proper care of the windshield, you will always be able to see everything that happens on the road.
